"THE DOORS" (People Are Strange)

The Doors was an American rock band, formed in Los Angeles (California), in July of 1965 and disbanded in 1973. Next to Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd, is developed in one of them exponents of the psychedelia of them years 60.han sold 32.5 million of units certified in the United States. 

The band has sold more than 100 million of albums in all over the world. 

The original greed of The Doors is successfully incorporating elements of various arts, including poetry, theatre and of course the music trying to represent the common life and always try to take advantage of it. Morrison and Manzarek considered that the rock could become a new Dionysian religion, offering the audience an experience comparable to Greek tragedy or Ecstasy shamanic. Here is perceived the influence that had for the band and, in particular for Morrison, the reading of the work of Friedrich Nietzsche. The name is part of the quote from William Blake "when the doors of perception are refined, all reflect to man as it is: infinite".
